A hands-on cruise with a professional Arctic photographer. Sail to the most photogenic fjords around Tromsø, learn to shoot from a moving deck, and capture the aurora, blue hour, or Midnight Sun. Includes pro tripods and filters, a personal portrait session, and an edited high-res photo package sent after the trip.

Where we sail
The route is chosen dynamically for the best light, sky clarity, and weather. Route 1 — Kaldfjorden & Ersfjorden ("Gateway to the Arctic"): sheer snow-capped peaks mirrored in still fjord water, ideal for landscapes and catching the dancing aurora far from the city glow. Route 2 — Rystraumen strait & the Grindøya islets: dynamic wildlife shots of hunting sea eagles and seals, and with luck orcas and humpbacks, with shallows offering sea water in contrast to snow-covered shores.

Technical Briefing in the Harbour Salon
Board in central Tromsø, collect marine tripods, and review your gear (cameras, lenses, smartphones). Dial in settings — ISO, shutter speed, aperture, manual focus — for the day's conditions (aurora / blue hour / strong sun).

Shooting the Fjords' Best Spots
Cruise selected waters chosen for light direction (golden hour / Midnight Sun / the night aurora show). Practise capturing dynamic shots from a moving boat, wildlife with long lenses, and long-exposure work on a tripod.

The guide-photographer takes professional portraits of each guest against the majestic fjords, icy water, or ribbons of aurora.
